CurriculumThe course curriculum is based on the CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings-2003, the 2016 Summary of Infection Prevention Practices in Dental Settings: Basic Expectations for Safe Care, the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (1910.1030), and the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (1910.2000). Due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic, the curriculum will also cover the most up-to-date interim guidance and any related regulations. Participants gain an understanding of relevant infection control laws, regulations, guidelines, standards, and best practices.
